The South Pacific displays its own brand of beauty, romance, and escape. The Fijian Islands of the South Pacific is inviting making you consider a trip to the island and float in their clear waters under a huge clear blue sky. Be ready with your snorkeling gear and discover a new world of sea life with colorful creatures and beautiful reefs. Walk along the white sand beaches. Gaze at the stars. Fall asleep to the rush of the waters.

Fiji certainly has a heart for the adventurous, the romantic, and not surprisingly, it has a big heart for the kids. The friendliness of the Fijian people along with their fondness of children will give moms and dads a fun and unique environment for their children, with total peace of mind and happiness of heart. When you find how the Fijian kids welcome and play with your kids, you will wish to keep coming back.

Most resorts with Family Vacation packages and specializations are along the Coral Coast and the Mamanuca Island Group. New resorts in new areas are continuing to cater to children with different kids’ programs being introduced over time.

The Castaway Island Resort has a Kid’s Club that provides complimentary service for all children ages three and above. They provide activities during the day and a couple of hours in the evening where children play games and are given an experience with a definite Fijian twist.

Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Resort offers the whole family the experience of the uniqueness of Fijian culture. Cousteau Island Resort on Vanua Levu has a fantastic program that keeps the kids busy while learning about the ocean, the natural surroundings, and the Fijian culture.

The Koro Sun Resort has a Koro Kids Club that runs from 8am to 5pm daily for ages 3 and above. There are tailored programs teaching kids about ecology and marine biology. There are also short programs about the Fijian way of life. Daily activities include rainforest hikes, Fijian culture, Fijian arts and crafts, tidal pool exploration, snorkeling for children 7 and up, shirt painting, coconut leaf weaving, and sand village construction.

The Malolo Island is in the island of Malolo in the Mamanuca group of islands. The resort holds two pools for adults and kids. The kiddie pool is located below the adults pool separated by a waterfall. The sand based shallow end is perfect for younger kids. The deeper end is tiled and deep which is good for the older kids. A kids club also operates day and night for the couple to spend some time alone.

Outrigger on the Lagoon features the Takia Kid’s Club with an array of full fun and educational activities. Fijian language lessons, treasure hunts, pool and beach activities, storytelling, and coconut leaf weaving will keep the young ones happy and occupied. Healthy meals are specially designed for children. Baby sitting is also available with a corresponding charge.

The Shangri-La Fijian features the Little Chief’s club exclusive for kids under age 12. Crab races, boat rides, fish feeding, storytelling and sandcastle building are few of the activities that your kids will surely enjoy.

The Sonaisali Island Resort has a wonderful children’s program for kids of all ages. Children are welcome but adults can join too. Family values are held dear in the Fiji islands and caring companions look after children.

The Turtle Island Resort caters to children above 15 most of the year. There are family weeks where young children will be provided with a local Fijian nanny. Plenty of activities will keep the kids busy on Turtle with everything from nature hikes to trips to nearby islands to windsurfing, kayaking, and snorkeling, sailing, and horseback riding.
