Located right on Fiji’s longest sandy beach, overlooking Beqa lagoon which is famous for diving (with sharks) and snorkelling & situated in the heart of Fiji’s Adventure Capital – Pacific Harbour.

Can you give us a quick/brief history of The Pearl South Pacific Resort ?
The resort was built in the 70’s as part of the Pacific Harbour developments,
actually the golf course was built first. It has had various owners and an interesting history over that time including a lot of famous guests & Greg Norman winning his first open on our golf course. It is now owned by an Australian gentleman who has refurbished the entire property & taken it to another level.

Waking up in your spacious room to a panoramic view of Beqa Lagoon; a leisurely breakfast looking out at the beach or the pool then perhaps wondering to the Activities hut to discuss the plans for the day – snorkelling, an island trip or a kayak up the river perhaps. Or maybe some adventure such as Ziplining through the rainforest canopy like Tarzan or white-water rafting with Rivers Fiji, or if a dive enthusiast can’t miss a extraordinary shark dive with AquaTrek. Perhaps shopping is your thing? A visit to Suva is an experience, wonder through the markets, visit the museum and discover some of the interesting history of this fascinating country. Then after this strenuous morning, enjoy a seafood lunch then relax with a massage in the spa or a quick work out at the gym. Dinner tonight is special so a romantic evening is organised with candlelit dinner under the stars with the sound of the waves & the chef has whipped up his specialty – lobster! Accommodation has all recently been refurbished. It’s modern & contemporary in design with a balcony or patio and offers either lush tropical garden or uninterrupted ocean views. There are also 6 individually themed Penthouse Suites – choose from Indian, Oriental, French Provincial, Red Passion, Sand & Surf or Moody Blues. These rooms are large & spacious with marble bathrooms, sunken bathtub and swivel TV so you can sit in the lounge, lie in bed or even watch it in the bath! DVD players are also included with a complimentary DVD library available.

As much, or as little as you like. Choose from 4 restaurants & 6 bars plus in-room dining. Activities abound not only at the resort but also within the immediate vicinity. From jet-skiing, diving, surfing, fishing, zip-lining & white water rafting to kayaking, tennis, volleyball, windsurfing, bicycles & pool table. The resort is also home to The Pearl 18-hole Championship Golf Course. A serene tropical location with the river meandering through, the golf course also includes a driving range, club house & pro-shop. The food is divine! I would argue that we have possibly the best food in Fiji with a variety of choice. The main restaurant Bistro has both an al-a-carte & theme menu each night, the most popular theme night is Thursday – lobster!
Then on Friday & Saturday nights his culinary skills delight at Mantarae our fine-dining restaurant.
