teasure1The Treasure Island Resort is on Treasure Island located in the archipelago of the Mamanucas, Fiji. It is 17 kilometers from Fiji’s capital, Nadi and the international airport. The Treasure Island Resort covers Treasure Island entirely making it a resort accommodation of choice in interconnected but private burés or beachfront villas. Recreational amenities included are the swimming pool, fitness room, mini-golf, tennis courts and gaming room.

Mounted on a coral-and-sand fringed atoll within a magnificent marine sanctuary, Treasure Island is one of Fiji’s most iconic resorts, with 35 years of experience in providing hospitality and friendship to travelers from all over the globe.

The island specializes in honeymoons, family holidays and romantics in search of a unique and unforgettable 4 star island holiday experience. It currently offers 66 traditionally-styled bures with a sophisticated restaurant and bar, an impressive three-pool swimming complex, a kids’ club, an expansive menu of activities and water sports, a full service health and relaxation spa, a wedding chapel, and a unique and well-preserved natural environment.

The resort is one of the only resorts in Mamanuca Islands that offer same day transfers where travelers arrive on the island paradise the same day of arrival in Fiji. Aside from the ease of transport, it also offers many other features including an experience of a truly authentic Fijian experience with the fact that the traditional land owners (Nakelo Clan) own 50 percent of the resort and many members of the clan hold key positions ensuring preservation of Fijian culture.

Free water-based activities include coral viewing trips, fish feeding, and snorkel gear. Hand feed little friends on the reef on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 1:45 in the afternoon. Coral viewing trips depart daily at 10 in the morning on board the glass bottom boat and explore the beauty of the house reef. Non-motorised water sport: wind surfing, canoeing, kayaking, sailing and paddle boating are available for an hourly rental rate and can be reserved with the Subsurface Watersports office.

Scuba diving at the Mamanuca Islands provides a wealth of world-class treasure2diving sites from beginner to advanced courses with day and night departures. Everything can be arranged at the PADI dive shop in the resort. Beginners may want to take part in the Discover Scuba program hosted by the resort while the more experienced divers can go shark feeding.

Motorised water sports are also provided for enjoyment including para-flying, jet skiing, water skiing, knee boarding, and giant tobogganing. Charges apply or may be booked directly with Subsurface at the email info@subsurfacefiji.com.

The resort holds pride in welcoming guests time and again with constant visitors who wish to keep coming back. Another simple pleasure is that the Treasure Island holiday provides tired parents with a much needed rest and alone time, while the excited kids are given a chance to have endless fun while learning about Fijian culture and exploring the unique environment. Treasure Island’s Kids’ Club is open to all children from age 3 and above. Registration at the Kids’ Club starts at 9:30 in the morning with lunch at 12 noon and dinner at 5:30 pm.

Just returned a couple of days ago. I would confirm most of what has been said about this resort. My wife and I could not be happier with our holiday and the accommodation. My wife and I decided to go to Fiji because of the current prices available and the proximity to Australia.

Myself and my Family Just back from a wonderful 9 days in Fiji. My wife and I were both first time travelers to Fiji and our preference was to stay at the one location which would maximize our relaxation time. After some significant research on the matter as well as some great pricing from our travel.

We went to Treasure Island in November and had an absolutely amazing time. We had planned for a small romatic wedding on the beach and we were not disappointed. Lavenia is the most fantastic wedding co-ordinator and planned our wedding to perfection. The staff went way beyond their duties and made us feel extremely special.

  4. ERIN says:

Treasure Island’s accommodation is certainly not 4 Star, it is more likely 3-3.5 star. We had 2 rooms to cater for our family of 2 adults & 3 children. The rooms were generally clean, but long overdue for refurbishment. Whilst we enjoyed the Fijian hospitality, the great snokelling & water sports the resort’s buildings are genrally run down.

Just came back from a wonderful vacation at Treasure Island Resort — I can highly recommend the place. For those of you who are undecided, a few comments to help you get a better picture what to expect.

we spent 2 weeks on Treasure island and it reallty was a beautiful piece of paradise. We travel all over the world and this location is one of the best in the world. Great value for money, rooms are simple but clean. Food was ok but becomes boring after a few days.

  7. CATHY says:

A lady at work (a national manager) recommended this place (she has no kids but has been there 4 times) so we really only went there to appease her (+ it was really cheap as it was after school holidays 24th Oct) so we only went for 3 nights expecting to get it out of the way and move on. Im really thankful for her for introducing such a wonderful place for me.

We have just returned from a family holiday to Treasure Island and had the time of our lives! We were not considering this island until friends recommended it to us and all we can say to them is Thankyou! My husband and i had been to Fiji 13 yrs ago for our honeymoon and did a cruise around the islands.

  9. LORRAINE says:

This is a fun and ‘cheep but cheerful’ island presenting some great natural Fijian culture, kids club as well as having a fantastic small island feel with great natural surrounds. It is a good island to take a family as the kids will have an absolute blast.

  10. LYNN says:

I would definately rate this resort if you have children under 10years. There is plently of room to ensure you are able to have privacy if you want it and the pool is neer crowded even though we were thre in the school holidays.

  11. SALLY says:

We recently had our wedding on Treasure Island with family and friends attending. We spent 7 nights there and absolutely loved it. The staff are all friendly, wonderful people who couldn’t do enough for us.

  12. REGINA says:

Only arrived back from Treasure today and already we miss it. Im a firm believer in pros and cons with any trip so I’ll start with the cons and go from there. We travelled to Treasure for 7 nights during the first week of the school holidays with two other families with children.

  13. ERICA says:

This place is amazing. When looking for a place to stay in Fiji we wanted somewhere that we could just do as much or as little as we wanted, soak up some sun, enjoy some snorkelling and laze about by the pool. Treasure Island gave us all of those things.

  14. BEATRICE says:

We’ve just returned from our Fiji honeymoon and could not have been more impressed with Treasure Island. I must say I cannot understand the things people find to complain about, and almost wish I hadn’t read thier reviews before we went. This island is a dream! The bures are right on the beach and immaculate.

  15. DOLORES says:

After booking our trip to Treasure Island, I had reservations after reading some of the mixed reviews on this website. However, having paid for the trip, we had to hope for the best. Happily, Treasure Island exceeded our expections in almost every aspect.

  16. BERNICE says:

This was our second trip to Fiji and this time we wanted to try one of the islands. Previously we had been to the Outrigger and we went there again after 4 days on Treasure Island. So I cannot help but compare the two resorts.

  17. AUDREY says:

We just got back from Fiji, stayed 1 night at Sheraton, 6 nights at Treasure Island and 6 nights at Castaway Island. Treasure Island is fantastic, I did have reservations after reading some of the negative reviews on here but I need not have worried at all. I think some people just look for the negatives and emphasize them.

  18. YVONNE says:

When we first arrived on Treasure Island we noticed little things, like run-down toilets in the dining/bar area, missing knobs on the cupboards in our bure and a general feeling of having slipped back in time to a bad Elvis movie set in the South Pacific.

  19. ANNETTE says:

We stayed for 4 nights late July. 6 adults ,3 children 7, 6 & 3 Had a great time as this is our 5th visit to Treasure . Typical Fijian friendliness ,food good , nightly entertainment excellent .

  20. JUNE says:

Travelling with a group of 10 friends, we found Treasure Island the perfect destination. Plenty of activities to keep everyone happy and enough space to do our own thing when we wanted to. The most friendly and caring staff I have ever met, who made us all feel at home and the food was wonderful.

  21. SAMANTHA says:

We had a family holiday with two children (ages 9 and 5yrs). Our intention was for a bure on the beach, where we could walking in from snorkelling without worrying. We found this holiday on Treasure Island. The island delivered beyond our expectations in all areas of our holiday.

  22. MARION says:

That personal welcome years ago…was again the greeting both my mother & I received again. This time my visit was at the age of 27 and my mother 60. We were lucky with our booking. At first all accommodation was booked out. It was a week before our departure that the agents released remaining bure’s & with existing specials.

  23. DANA says:

We stayed on Treasure Island for the first time last month and went with a few of our family members. We loved our 5 days on the island and especially appreciated the wonderful staff who really make the Island the amazing place it is.

  24. STACY says:

Treasure Island resort was fantastic. Absolutely picturesque surroundings, snorkelling that could not be beat, staff that only with a few exceptions otherwise exhibited the finest example of customer service and care, and a pool with views to die for.

  25. RENEE says:

We spent 24th to 30th May on Treasure Island and had a fantastic holiday. We read many reviews and spoke to previous visitors before we left so we were aware it was not a 5 star hotel. Yes it is run down and in need of some maintenance but for us the atmosphere and surroundings made up for it.
